Digital trio have designs on the future
When work colleagues Richard Fox, Alan Pratt and Anthony Mitchell had the opportunity to acquire the Digital Design & Media business they worked for, Bow House of Easingwold, they turned to leading business development specialists Business Support York & North Yorkshire (BSYNY) for help.
With key skills in digital design and marketing delivery that complements the business they focussed on the opportunity and found they needed expert help to guide them through the acquisition.
Through BSYNY they engaged with support specialist Mike Everitt who encouraged them to apply for access to the Regional Growth Fund Start & Grow programme that provides three-year’s pre & post start business support worth up to £5000.
Director Alan Pratt, an experienced web developer said ‘Mike told us about the funded programme and helped us to apply.
This gave us access to quality business support when we needed it and Mike has always been responsive to our needs.’ He added, ‘we haven’t run a business before and the support across a range of business topics from legal, finance, employees and business development is invaluable.’
Mike Everitt commented, ‘here are three people who have great skills and knowledge and who I’m confident have identified opportunities to build the business. Whilst the acquisition was protracted I am pleased to have supported them and look
forward to adding value to their business going forward.’ The new team took over via a management buyout and they have an impressive range of clients who are pleased to continue working with them. They have a reputation for high quality customer service and are keen to maintain the ‘family-feel’ of the business. They also believe that being friendly, approachable and professional is their key to ongoing success.
